It is essential to foster a sense of belonging
and community in an online environment
given that for many of our learners, this is
the only opportunity to meet people similar
to their own age and to form friendships.
We achieve this through morning circle
time, other community time, open group
discussions, planned activities, assignments,
quizzes, games, competitions and online
clubs via live feed with our physical hub in
Cambridge.
Learners can also chat via the secured closed
Google Classroom platform.
As there is no substitute for in-person
interaction, we arrange regular meet-ups in
various regions and countries to undertake
local environmental and social initiatives,
enjoy sport and games and to socialise in a
safe and relaxed environment.
There is also a monthly online newsle琀琀er
in which learners contribute ideas and
assist with its publication and distribution
throughout both the online and physical
learning environments.
